FRIEND OF ROTARY

Friend of Rotary was a New Model Clubs initiative that offered a unique connection between a Rotary club and the wider community. It is a proven success elsewhere within the Rotary family, and has been adopted by Rotary eClub One.

The "Rotary Friend" concept enables a Rotary club to establish a special relationship with an individual who cannot join the Rotary club as a Rotarian because of other commitments, or because the person is already a member of another Rotary club.

A "Rotary Friend" may:

Participate in club projects or activities

Volunteer "in kind" or financial assistance
Attend club social events

A 'Rotary Friend" is expected to protect the integrity of Rotary by advancing the ideals of Rotary International.

A "Rotary Friend" who is not a Rotarian, may not be designated as a Rotarian, may not wear the Rotary lapel badge, and may not make-up at other Rotary clubs. A "Rotary Friend" cannot serve on the board of the club that has sponsored the relationship.

A “Rotary Friend” who is an active member of another Rotary Club may be co-opted by resolution of the board to serve as a director on the board of eClub One, but may not serve as President-elect or President

If you are interested, please complete the Application Form which will be forwarded to the Secretary and reviewed by the Board of Directors.

From Rotary eClub One Webmaster...

It is a mandatory requirement that Rotarians spend at least 30 minutes on the Rotary eClub One website to qualify for a make-up credit. Please use your 30 minute visit to review a variety of articles from our Programs section and/or information from our web site pages. As always, Rotarians should apply the 4-Way Test to the time they spend on the Rotary eClub One site for a make-up.
