Welcome to Rotary eClub One.

Welcome to Rotary eClub One.
For more than a decade, Rotary's membership has lingered around 1.2 million. That means that for every person who joined during that period, another person left. Last year, membership hit a 10-year low, at 1,185,000, though we've since rebounded, raising the figure this year to 1,207,102.

For RI President Gary C.K. Huang, that's not good enough. He hopes to increase membership to 1.3 million by the end of his term.

"It's simple: The more members we have, the more people we can help," Huang says. "A stronger membership base will result in strong communities."

Rotary eClub One – Back to Boulder WEDNESDAY APRIL 29, 2015 - Annual Dinner.
Each year the members of Rotary eClub One have a chance to have dinner together. Normally, that event is held on the Monday evening during the Rotary International Convention in the city where the convention is held. Once in a while we choose instead to have dinner in the city of the Rotary club that sponsored us, Boulder Colorado. And this is the year as we will meet in Boulder! Check it out at http://rotaryeclubone.org/about/backtoboulder/ or go to "back to Boulder under the "Learn About Rotary eClub One" tab above.

We are proud to be the very first eClub ever created. Our members come from every walk of life and from across the globe. Most of us came here because our schedules didn't allow us to meet the membership requirements of our local club.

Back by popular demand, you can now again SHARE YOUR CLUB'S BANNER for the world to see on this page of this website (see below on the right).

President's Message DECEMBER 2014

December is Family Month

A celebration with our Belgian Rotary Family in 2011

Celebrate Rotary's commitment to family in December!

·      Bring together mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other members of your Rotary family to learn more about the organization.

·      Consider having a special club event for family members to talk about service opportunities in the community that they and the club can address.
(Taken from the Rotary International website listing the focus of each month)

Rotary eClub One is truly an international Rotary Club. Since our members are scattered around the world we will use a different approach to helping family members understand what Rotary is and what we do.

Of course, many of our family members already have some idea of what Rotary is and what we do simply by seeing us in action and/or hearing us discuss from time to time our experiences. Some of us find opportunities to involve family members in projects or take them to a Rotary meeting.

When my husband and I travel, we try to attend at least one Rotary meeting in the area we are visiting. We have many fond memories of the warm welcome we received wherever we have visited.

Our daughter was a Rotary Youth Exchange student. Her year abroad exposed her to Rotary in a deep way. Even though it has been 14 years since her exchange she still talks about how it changed her life and her world perspective.

As many of us know, we cannot be truly active in Rotary without the support of our closest family member, our spouse. Involving our spouse in our activities brings with us a richer perspective and an opportunity to create a bond for our spouse to an organization that is so important to us. Involving our family, especially our young ones, will help spread the spirit of Rotary for generations to come.

Yours in Rotary Service,

Tracy Adams

President, Rotary eClub One
