Donations
Longwood Rotary Club of Kennet Square, Pennsylvania, has
donated over $1 million in grants to local and international projects.
The Longwood Rotary Club was chartered in 1997. Its
Foundation supports groups and projects that focus on

quality of life,
·
education,
·
diversity/inclusion,
·
community development,
·
economic development,
·
public safety and health,
·
and environmental sustainability.
Starting with small fundraisers throughout the year, the
club has now moved to a single fundraiser, its Gala, which raises funds for the
club’s foundation.
Operation
Warm is one project supported by Longwood Rotary. In the winter of 1998, a
Rotarian from this club noticed that children were waiting at a bus stop
without jackets. He purchased jackets himself and then encouraged his Rotary
club to participate. That first year, Longwood Rotary Club supplied funding for
58 coats. Operation Warm is now an independent organization and has funded over
3 million new coats worldwide.
